Last week, I shot some baby portraits for some friends from church. Their daughter, Alexa, is almost 8 months old. With all the hustle of life, they haven't ever had pictures taken of their beautiful daughter.
It was such a great morning for shooting! We went out to Pecan Park in Nacogdoches about 10:00am. I really enjoy shooting in Pecan in the mornings, the sun and trees work together to create some gorgeous backdrops!
This picture to the left is one of my very favorites of the shoot. Alexa's eyes sparkle so well here! She really is a beautiful baby.
Alexa is easily one of the most relaxed and content babies I've ever seen. Arely, her mother, put a blanket down in the middle of the park and then put her out with a couple of toys. She just sat there looking at me (completely adorable, btw). Of course, the most difficult thing about shooting children, or especially babies is that your window to snap a great shot is just razor thin! I think we ended up with one or two good shots for every ten taken.
This is the first time Ballenger Photography has ever done a baby shoot, and I don't think I could be happier. Alexa didn't want to smile for the camera, but she has so many great facial expressions that it didn't really matter. Arely and Fransisco must be some very proud parents!
